During the winter months from November 2022 to March 2023, we ran a food bank service to support local Muslim families in south London. By the Fadl of Allaah and the help of eight dedicated volunteers, we raised a total of £4,350 to provide essential groceries such as rice, potatoes, long-life milk, pasta, onions, tinned fish, household cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene products to 16 families each week.
Essential Groceries: Supporting 16 families
Our team of volunteers worked tirelessly to fundraise, do the weekly shopping, and personally deliver the bags of groceries to families in need. The final week of the food bank service saw us sending each family a Sainsbury's food voucher of up to £200, and the feedback we received from the families we supported was so heart-warming - it really has made the whole venture so rewarding, alhamdulillaah.

Looking Ahead: Plans for next winter
With the success of the winter food bank service, we're excited to announce that we plan to run the service again next winter, from November 2023 to March 2024, in shaa Allaah. We hope to continue supporting local families in need and making a positive impact on our community, bi`ithnillaah.
